At NEXUS, leadership is the foundation of everything we do. We believe in empowering students by giving them opportunities to grow, lead, and make meaningful decisions. Our leadership roles are designed to inspire responsibility, accountability, and collaboration among students, and we ensure a fair, transparent, and democratic process for selecting our leaders.
Our leadership structure ensures that NEXUS operates smoothly, with clear responsibilities for each member. We provide students with the chance to take on significant roles in various societies and departments, from society heads to specialized position holders, ensuring growth and effective management.
Registration: Interested students who wish to take on leadership positions are required to fill out the registration form, available on our Register Now page or in physical format.
Interview Process: After registration, selected students will be invited for an interview. This is a crucial part of the selection process, where students will be assessed on their:
Leadership skills
Communication and teamwork abilities
Vision and commitment to the organization
Past experience (if applicable)
The interview panel will include current executive members and will ensure fairness and objectivity during the process.
Role Assignment: Based on the interview outcomes, the following leadership roles will be assigned:
Society Heads: Responsible for overseeing and managing specific societies such as the Debating Society, Sports Society, E-sports, and more.
Department Heads: Leaders for specialized departments like Media & Marketing, Fundraising, Events Management, etc.
Other Leadership Seats: We may also have other important positions, such as General Secretary or General Director, depending on the needs of the organization.
Unreserved Positions: In some cases, there may be additional seats or positions that are not reserved in advance. These positions will be filled after the interview process, and the most suitable candidates will be selected based on their skills and qualifications.
Registration Period: Students will have a defined period ( Till 26th May ) to fill out the registration form.
Interview Period: Following registration, interviews will be scheduled, and the process will last for approximately 1 week.
Role Announcement: After careful deliberation, the new leadership team will be announced in a special meeting, ensuring transparency and clarity in the process.
Society Heads and Department Heads will have the responsibility to lead their respective societies, organize events, and manage day-to-day activities.
General Secretary will handle internal communications and administrative tasks.
General Director will oversee the smooth operation of all projects and collaborate with all leaders.
At the end of each term, a transition period will ensure that the outgoing leaders can pass on their responsibilities to the new team. This transition is vital for maintaining continuity and ensuring the next generation of leaders is ready to step up.
To ensure the leadership process is fair and transparent:
All interested candidates will be interviewed by a neutral panel consisting of current and senior members of NEXUS.
The leadership selection results will be announced publicly, and feedback may be gathered for further improvements in the process.
